Now Is The Time For Everyone To Participate In The Use Of Digital Infrastructure At Once

In November 2020, a surgery was performed in the town of Cotonou, Benin, with the participation of three surgeons to remove kidney stones. Only one of the surgeons was present beside the patient during the surgery. Jill Natshagande. Two other surgeons from the UK and UK took part in the surgery through an augmented reality-based surgery platform designed for professional physicians. This is a new form of surgery in the current era of advanced communication technology.

During this surgery, 3 surgeons were connected together through 3 different computers from 3 different continents. They took part in the 5-hour live broadcast, as if everyone were present in their own bodies.

There are multiple benefits to using an augmented reality platform during surgery. Using augmented reality, surgeons can easily exchange different treatments and techniques among themselves. At the same time, their mutual mediation makes it possible to reach conclusions during surgery that may not have been possible for a surgeon alone.

It's not just surgeons who benefit. As with the aforementioned kidney surgery, augmented reality-based surgery, rather than the conventional method, allows patients to recover much faster in less time. As a result, it is possible to provide medical services to more patients in hospitals. At the same time, the opportunity to perform different types of surgery also increases.

Dr. Natshagande chose a platform called Proximie for surgery. About 800 surgeries are performed every month in 35 countries through this platform. Proximie is designed to be used in areas where high speed internet is not available or expensive medical equipment is scarce.

Proximie is just one example of all the new IT-based innovations that have broken the stereotypes of industry and communication. With the advancement of computing power, network speed and artificial intelligence, the current product manufacturing system has become intertwined.

Most importantly, the invention of information-based products is creating huge potential for solving various real-world problems. And its usefulness is not limited to the medical field. These discoveries, made using artificial intelligence (AI) and all other technologies, are capable of reducing environmental pollution, controlling product production and increasing agricultural efficiency.

An example is the smart meter used in the home. When installed at a certain level, smart meters are able to play a huge role in controlling electricity demand. Affordable Internet of Things (IoT) sensors can help in the proper control and management of waste management projects and power systems. It is also possible to increase agricultural productivity by calculating farm efficiency, remotely inspecting farms and automatically diagnosing crops.

Communication is a prerequisite for innovation

Direct contact with someone during Covid-19 is a major health risk. Therefore, it is important for everyone involved in medical care to look for alternative communication methods. As a result, the rate of access to other online services, such as online medical services, has increased significantly during this time of Covid-19.

But not all countries are equally able to take advantage of advanced technology. Various disadvantages such as low capital, limited number of software engineers or weak digital infrastructure are creating huge barriers to the production and emergence of new products with the help of modern technology. As a result, it is not possible to meet the economic demand of the growing market.

Virtually every developing economy is still deprived of uninterrupted power supply and reliable internet services. Increasing communication facilities has changed the way products are produced and distributed, and at the same time the traditional look of digital inequality has changed.

According to a study, by 2025, 23% of global mobile users will be stuck with 3G or less internet services. Over the next decade, most product innovations will require faster and more reliable Internet access. As well as having the necessary capital and the ability to engage with product manufacturing companies will also become important.

Many industries are facing problems due to digitalization. Many industries are facing problems due to rapid changes in communication technology. The ability to do computing while connected has led to many new innovations and technological advances, such as ride sharing, homes connected to the same network, and smart energy grids.

So the present time is very important. However, for product development that can do computing in a connected state, a large amount of data needs to be transferred.

In recent years, the cost of data transfer in high-income countries has dropped significantly. The frustration, however, is that the same cannot be said of many developing economies. The cost of operating a large server of Amazon Web Services in Europe is now 4 times lower than in 2008. The cost of one terabyte of data transfer from Los Angeles to Sydney has decreased by 17% year-on-year compared to 2016.

On the other hand, considering the capital of many developing economies, the cost required for proper international communication is still much higher. There is no substitute for the ever-changing communication infrastructure to survive in the face of competition in a world that is intertwined with advanced technology.

Countries that are unable to keep pace with the rapid development of global communications infrastructure will lag far behind in the global market competition for their industrial systems.

With proper investment, proper coordination and extensive development of communication technology in the industrial system, it is possible to solve these problems that stand in the way of developing economy.
